The Challenge
Colgate Palmolive embraced the need for establishing a compelling Vision and Shared Values as well as creating empowered, team-oriented organizations worldwide. It was important to the European Senior Leadership Team that this process not simply become a "plaque on the wall" or a fad to be replaced by something else. Colgate Palmolive-Europe wanted to create an environment where employees from different countries and functions could excel as one team. The goal was to move to a participative, team oriented, empowered organization, aligned to a common vision.
The Journey
Renaissance Leadership facilitated an executive Vision-Values master planning retreat, followed by two Senior Leadership Team sessions and a 360° Values survey and analysis, coaching most leaders within the European Division. Team and Leadership Development sessions focusing on team alignment were conducted with country management, headquarters, and the diverse, far-flung marketing organization.
